In order to enable the easier execution of shaped cuts by means of a cutting device (10), in particular a hedge trimmer, having a blade bar projecting from a housing (11) and having a blade rail (17) and at least one blade (18) slidably guided on or in the blade rail (17), the invention proposes that the blade rail (17) and the blade (18) be designed so as to be curved in an arc with respect to a main axis (X) of the cutting device (10).
