1. A method for providing position correction data over a data communications network, the method comprising:
receiving, by a server, at least one of an identifier or a password from a mountpoint, the mountpoint configured to receive positioning data from a position data source and to determine the position correction data based on the positioning data and a known location of the mountpoint; receiving, by the server, a request for the position correction data from a mobile device, the request including at least one of the identifier or the password from the mountpoint, the request transmitted over the data communications network to the server; receiving, by the server, a geographic location of the mobile device; selecting, by the server, the mountpoint based, at least in part, on at least one of the identifier or the password and the geographic location of the mobile device; requesting, by the server, the position correction data from the mountpoint, the position correction data transmitted over the data communications network to the server; receiving, by the server, the position correction data associated with the mountpoint; and transmitting, by the server, the position correction data to the mobile device over the data communications network. |
