placing a magnetic field viewing film over a region of tissue; placing a hernia mesh at a position at least partially within the region of tissue, the hernia mesh including a plurality of magnetic microparticles disposed in a pattern, the pattern including a plurality of contour lines suitable for determining the tissue thickness; determining a location of the hernia mesh based on a visualization by the magnetic field viewing film of a magnetic field produced by the plurality of magnetic microparticles; and determining tissue thickness based on the pattern. |
