1. An electrophotographic photosensitive member comprising:
an electrically conductive support; an undercoat layer on the support; and a photosensitive layer on the undercoat layer, wherein the undercoat layer includes: a resin; and a metal oxide particle whose surface has been treated with a compound represented by the following formula (1): the resin is a polymerized product of a composition containing a compound having a group represented by the following formula (2), and a polyol, wherein, in the formula (1), R3 and R4 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 2 carbon atoms or a phenyl group, R5 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, a vinyl group, a methacryloyloxy group, or an acryloyloxy group, m and n each represent an integer, m+n=3, and m=0, 1, or 2, wherein, in the formula (2), X represents a single bond or an oxygen atom, and R1 and R2 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
