PURPOSE:To provide a highly sensitive thermal recording material provided with a thermal color forming layer without damaging heat insulating properties, cushioning properties and absorbability obtained by providing an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein an intermediate layer is provided on a support and a thermal color forming layer is provided thereon, the intermediate layer contains pigment with oil absorbancy of 50cc/100g or more, a synthetic resin emulsion and boric acid or borax and the thermal color forming layer contains a thermal color forming component and PVA or modified PVA as main components. |
