An inner layer of polymeric insulation (104) is extruded over a conductor to form a cable conductor core (105). Several conductors (106) are embedded into the inner layer of the cable conductor core by heating one of the inner layer and the conductors prior to embedding the conductors into the inner layer. An outer layer of the polymeric insulation (118) is extruded over the cable conductor core and the conductors, and the inner layer is bonded to the outer layer to form the cable and provide a contiguous bond between the inner layer, the conductors, and the outer layer. |
