In order to uniformly cool a battery cooled via a plurality of heat exchangers by reducing the differences in temperature therebetween, this battery system comprises: a battery unit (2) provided with a plurality of unit cells capable of being charged and discharged; a plurality of heat exchangers (3) for cooling the unit cells of the battery unit (2) via a liquid coolant being circulated; and a cooling mechanism (35) communicating with the heat exchangers (3) via a circulation path (8) whereby the liquid coolant is circulated. The circulation path (8) contains a plurality of branching portions (8B) whereby the liquid coolant is split and diverted. The branching portions (8B) communicate with the heat exchangers (3), and the liquid coolant supplied by the cooling mechanism (35) is diverted from the branching portions (8B) to be supplied to each of the heat exchangers (3). In addition, a flow rate adjustment unit for controlling the flow rate of the liquid coolant is provided at each of the branching portions (8B) so as to control the flow rate of the liquid coolant with the flow rate adjustment units and equalize the differences in temperature across the unit cells coupled to each of the heat exchangers (3). |
