A method for matching a scaling schematic picture and a scaling register. The method comprises: receiving a triggering instruction (S10); acquiring the number of bits of a scaling register and numerical values corresponding to various periods (S20); in the case where all the numerical values corresponding to the various periods are valid, shifting each of the numerical values according to the number of bits of the scaling register, and converting each of the numerical values into a new numerical value having a standard format and containing a significant bit (S70); corresponding the new numerical value to a scale mode option and a scaling schematic picture on a one-to-one basis (S50); and upon receiving the scale mode option selected by a user, acquiring the new numerical value corresponding to the scale mode option selected by the user from the scaling register, and displaying the scaling schematic picture corresponding to the new numerical value (S60). Further disclosed is an apparatus for matching a scaling schematic picture and a scaling register. The case of an erroneous scaling schematic picture caused by the scaling schematic picture not matching a scaling register is avoided, and the method is advantageous for normally switching scaling of a television. |
