This indoor unit of an air-conditioner is provided with a front panel which is disposed on the front surface of the indoor unit main body and which has a flat surface shape on the front surface, and with a design cover which is attached to the front of the front panel. In the center in the vertical direction in front view, the front panel has a recess extending from inside of the left end to the inside of the right end, and a suction port is formed in the lower portion of the recess. The design cover comprises an upper design cover which, in front view, covers the front panel from the upper end of the recess to the upper end of the front panel and from the left end to the right end of the front panel, and a lower design cover which, in front view, covers the front panel from the lower end of the recess to the lower end of the front panel and from the left end to the right end of the front panel. In front view, the recess side portion to the left of the recess in the front panel is flat and is in the same plane as the flat surface above and below the left recess side portion, and, in front view, the recess side portion to the right of the recess in the front panel is flat and is in the same plane as the flat surface above and below the right recess side portion.
