The invention relates to a lighting device comprising a multilayer carrier plate having a plurality of passage openings in each of which an illuminant is accommodated. Each of the illuminants can be inserted into a transparent adapter and are releasably retained in the adapter by means of locking means. The adapter can be inserted into the passage opening via the rear side of the carrier plate and is fixed via at least one integral locking means to the carrier plate. The passage opening on the front side of the carrier plate is flush with the adapter.
