This garment treatment device includes: a tab portion (11) that is provided on an outer edge side of a door (2) so as to protrude toward an opening and is rotatably supported by the door (2); a latch portion (41a) that is provided on the peripheral part of an opening of an outer case and onto which the tab portion (11) latches when the door (2) is closed; and a spring portion that biases the tab portion (11) such that the tab portion (11) rotates toward the latch portion (41a) when the door (2) is closed. The tab portion (11) has a hook portion (11c) that latches onto the latch portion (41a) outside the center of rotation in a closed state of the door (2) and has, on the hook portion (11c) on a part opposite the latch portion (41a), a sliding surface (11e) that is parallel with a plane orthogonal to a direction of the tensile load on the latch portion (41a) when the door (2) is opened. |
