[Class 83 (iv).] Working at specified temperatures.-Copper alloys which cannot be satisfactorily extruded in the cold, are heated to 200-650‹ C. and preferably to 300-600‹ C., the temperature lying below the recrystallization temperature of the metal, the metal then being subjected to a sudden powerful impact in the press so that the temperature is raised to above the recrystallization temperature.
