This system for monitoring a person to be monitored is provided with: one or more operation reception devices that receive a prescribed operation; a plurality of sensor devices that detect a prescribed action by a person to be monitored; and a central processing unit that, when the prescribed operation received by the operation reception device is reported via the sensor devices, performs a prescribed corresponding process, and manages detected operation information relating to the prescribed action reported from the sensor devices. In this operation reception device and method, when the prescribed operation is received, a communication signal for reporting the reception of the prescribed operation is transmitted sequentially to the sensor devices in order of priority until communication is successful. |
