摘要 A processor receives a command from a server computer to designate a plurality of addresses related to a plurality of logical storage areas, and write a plurality of write data to the logical storage areas. The processor receives the write data and writes it to storage areas different from storage areas in which a plurality of holding data are stored in a first memory. When the processor determines that the write data are written to the first memory, the processor transmits a success response to a host computer. When the write data satisfy a predetermined condition, the processor writes the write data in the first memory to a plurality of first device storage areas. When it is determined that at least a part of the data is not written to the first memory, the processor transmits a failure response to the host computer.

A storage system comprising: a first storage device; a first processor coupled to a server computer and the first storage device; and a first memory coupled to the first processor, wherein the first processor provides a first logical volume to the server computer, on the basis of the first storage device, the first memory stores first volume information showing an association of a plurality of logical storage areas in the first logical volume and a plurality of first device storage areas in the first storage device, the first storage device stores a plurality of holding data in the plurality of first device storage areas, the first memory stores the plurality of holding data, when the first processor receives a command to indicate designating a plurality of addresses showing the plurality of logical storage areas, respectively, and writing a plurality of write data to the plurality of logical storage areas, respectively, from the server computer, the first processor executes a data reception process for receiving the plurality of write data based on the command from the server computer and writing the plurality of write data to storage areas different from storage areas in which the plurality of holding data is stored in the first memory, the first processor determines whether all of the plurality of write data are written to the first memory, when it is determined that all of the plurality of write data are written to the first memory, the first processor transmits a first success response to the host computer, when the plurality of write data satisfies a predetermined condition, the first processor writes the plurality of write data in the first memory to the plurality of first device storage areas, respectively, and when it is determined that at least a part of the plurality of data is not written to the first memory, the first processor transmits a first failure response to the host computer.
