Disclosed are a volume adjusting method and a user terminal. The method comprises: detecting a target pressure value applied by and a target touch duration of a user when performing a touch operation with respect to a touch area; determining whether or not the target pressure value is greater than a first preset pressure value; when the target pressure value is greater than the first preset pressure value, acquiring, on the basis of preset correlations between touch durations and volume adjustment magnitudes, a target volume adjustment magnitude corresponding to the target touch duration; and adjusting a current volume on the basis of the target volume adjustment magnitude. This shows that the implementation of embodiments of the present invention allows convenient volume adjustment. |
