The invention relates to a setting tool comprising an anchor rod holder (31) that is open on the front side of the setting tool, and a drill holder (41) that is open on the rear side of the setting tool. According to the invention, the setting tool has a passage (3) through which an anchor rod (10) accommodated in the anchor rod holder (31) can be subjected directly to axial striking forces of a drill (20) accommodated in the drill holder (41).
