摘要 Switching among sensor feeds for optimum performance includes disposing a processor in communication with sensors, each said sensor providing a primary data stream. A data stream standard is established in the processor. The primary data streams are communicated from the sensors to the processor, and are compared against the data stream in the processor. A secondary data stream is selected from among the primary data streams or synthesized from one or more of the primary data streams, based on which primary data stream(s) most closely match the data stream standard. The secondary data stream is communicated to a data stream recipient. The data stream recipient may identify input in the secondary data stream, and an input executor may execute control commands corresponding to the input so as to control a device or system.

A machine-implemented method, comprising: disposing a processor in communication with a plurality of sensors, each said sensor being adapted to provide a primary data stream; instantiating a sensor controller on said processor; instantiating an operating system on said processor; instantiating a data stream analyzer on said processor, said data stream analyzer comprising a data stream standard; instantiating an input detector on said processor; instantiating an input executor on said processor; instantiating a data stream standard on said processor; communicating said primary data streams from said sensors to said sensor controller; communicating said primary data streams from said sensor controller to said operating system; communicating said primary data streams from said operating system to said data stream analyzer; comparing said primary data streams against said data stream standard with said data stream analyzer; selecting with said data stream analyzer a secondary data stream most closely matching said data stream standard from among said primary data streams; communicating said secondary data stream from said data stream analyzer to said input detector; detecting with said input detector an input in said secondary data stream; communicating said input from said input detector to said input executor; executing a control command with said input executor corresponding with said input; iterating: communicating said primary data streams from said sensors to said sensor controller to said operating system to said data stream analyzer;comparing said primary data streams against said data stream standard;selecting said secondary data stream;communicating said secondary data stream from said data stream analyzer to said input detector;detecting said input in said secondary data stream;communicating said input from said input detector to said input executor;executing with said input executor said control command corresponding with said input; wherein a primary data stream selected as said secondary data stream in a first iteration differs from a primary data stream selected as said secondary data stream in a second iteration.
