(a) applying to a surface of the plant an aqueous composition comprising a copper compound in which the amount of copper metal is between 1 and 5% by weight based upon the weight of the composition, (ii) a zinc compound in which the amount of zinc metal is between 1 and 5% by weight based upon the weight of the composition, and (iii) a manganese compound; and (b) allowing the composition to dry to form a treated plant, wherein the treated plant displays increased resistance to bacterial and fungal growth relative to an untreated plant. |
