Provided is a charge/discharge amount control device, that controls an amount of electric power charged and discharged by electric power storage equipment in an electric power storage system for a consumer, which electric power storage system includes: electric power generating equipment that generates electric power by utilizing renewable energy; and the electric power storage equipment that charges and discharges electric power. The charge/discharge amount control device is provided with a calculation processing unit that: determines a first charging electric power amount indicating an electric power amount expected to be charged to the electric power storage equipment in a predetermined first time period in the future, on the basis of a first load electric power amount indicating a used electric power amount by a consumer's load system, a first generating electric power amount indicating a generated electric power amount by the electric power generating equipment, and an electricity rate, in the first time period; determines a second charging electric power amount indicating an electric power amount expected to be charged to the electric power storage equipment in a second time period that is included in the first time period and that is shorter than the first time period, on the basis of the first charging electric power amount; and determines a first electric power amount indicating an electric power amount that is to be further charged to or discharged from the electric power storage equipment at present, on the basis of the second charging electric power amount, and the charge/discharge amount control device is provided with a control unit that controls charging to or discharging from the electric power storage equipment on the basis of the results of calculation by the calculation processing unit. |
