[Class 12 (i).] A ball, roller, block, or like radial-thrust bearing is supported in one or more flexible or deformable ring elements 6 which are suspended on a stationary element 8 to hang in the direction of the radial load. As shown, the element 8 is formed of two rings carried by a bearing housing 5, and the flexible ring 6 has end flanges 7 supported by flanges 9 on the element 8. The periphery 10 of the ring 6 is spaced from the inner edge of the element 8. In a modification, the ring element 6 consists of a plain cylindrical ring, and in another modification the ends of the ring 6 are tapered. |
