an exhaust hood portion with recess and an interior surface of the recess; a baffle plate supported below a blind end of the recess to define a gap between the edge of the baffle plate and a descending inner surface of the recess; an exhaust inlet opening to a plenum space between the blind end and the baffle plate; the baffle plate being movable to provide access to the inlet; the gap circumnavigating at least three sides of the hood portion.
