This light emitting device is provided with: a main substrate having a central portion and a peripheral portion that surrounds the central portion; a plurality of light sources arranged on the central portion of the main substrate; a plurality of lenses arranged so as to respectively correspond to the plurality of light sources and optically acting on respective light from the plurality of light sources; and one or more light-reflecting members arranged on the peripheral portion and having a reflectance higher than that of the main substrate.
