This photoelectric conversion element has: a first electrode having a porous layer arranged on an electrically conductive support, and a photosensitive layer containing a light absorbing agent, situated on the porous layer; a second electrode facing the first electrode; and a positive hole transport layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The light absorbing agent includes two types of light absorbing agents I and II. The light absorbing agent I is at least one type of compound of perovskite type crystal structure having a cation of a Group 1 element or a cationic organic group A, a cation of a metal atom M that is not a Group 1 element, and an anion of an anionic atom X. The light absorbing agent II is at least one type of agent selected from metal complex dyes and organic dyes. The solar cell is provided with this photoelectric conversion element. |
