[Class 56.] Relates to the method of clouding enamels by means of gas bubbles, as described in Specifications 297,724, 297,725, and 297,737, [all in Class 56, Glass]. According to the present invention, the quantity of clouding agent used is not materially greater than can be adsorbed by the slip and retained during storage. Suitable clouding agents are organic dyestuffs such as methylene blue or malachite green, or highly polymerized hydrocarbons or substitution products thereof, such as resins, pitch, tars, or asphalts. Examples of suitable mixtures are given in the Specification. |
