PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently shield heat emitted from sheets.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes a fixing unit 11 that fixes toner images onto sheets P, an ejection unit that ejects the sheets P on which the toner images have been fixed, an ejection tray 38 on which the sheets P ejected from the ejection unit are placed, a toner container 30 that is arranged below the ejection tray 38, an air flow passage 40 for heat shield, the air flow passage 40 being formed between the ejection tray 38 and toner container 30, and through which the air for shielding heat that is emitted from the sheets P placed on the ejection tray 38 to the toner container 30, and a switching mechanism 50 that switches the width of the air flow passage 40 for heat shield according to the width of the sheets P. |
