An inspection device (30) for inspecting multiple openings (2h) formed on the skin-side sheet (2) of an absorbent article so as to penetrate the skin-side sheet (2) in the thickness direction. The skin-side sheet (2) comes into contact with the skin of a wearer while covering the wearer with an absorbing body (3) for absorbing liquid from the skin side of the wearer when the wearer wears the absorbent article. The openings (2h) are formed by means of an opening formation device (10) disposed on the upstream of the inspection device (30) with regard to a transfer direction in which the skin-side sheet (2a) is transferred. The inspection device (30) has: an imaging processing unit (32) for imaging a region of one side of the skin-side sheet (2a), on which the openings (2h) are formed, before the skin-side sheet (2) is placed over the absorbing body (3) and for generating a set of data of the planar images of said region as a set of planar image data; a binarizing processing unit (36) for performing a binarizing process when generating a binarized image based on the planar image data such that the region in which the openings are imaged among the planar images is included in an image specified by one of the binary values of the binary values in the binarized image; and an anomaly determination processing unit (36) for determining whether or not there are anomalies in the openings on the basis of the binarized image. |
