An objective would be to propose a wireless communication device operating with lowered power consumption. The wireless communication device (1) includes: a timer (21) configured to output an interrupt signal (SN1) periodically; and a communicator (3). The communicator (3) includes a memory (31) storing reception settings (D1), and is configured to, when receiving the interrupt signal (SN1), perform intermittent reception for a wireless signal (SN4) by use of the reception settings (D1) stored in the memory (31). There is a controller (2) configured to control the communicator (3). The reception settings (D1) are written to the memory (31) by the controller (2) when it is activated.
