PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard instrument capable of changing a tone quality.SOLUTION: A keyboard instrument includes: a speaker 10 which is located at the rear of a keyboard part 7 arranged in an instrument case 1 and is arranged in the instrument case 1; a keyboard cover 13 which is openable and closable to cover the keyboard part 7; a cover guide part 14 which guides the keyboard cover 13 between the keyboard part 7 and the speaker 10; a first control part 30 which partitions the inside of the instrument case 1 into a keyboard-side space K1 and a speaker-side space K2 and controls the position of the keyboard cover 13 into such a position that both of the spaces K1 and K2 are closed from each other; and a second control part 31 which moves the keyboard cover 13 toward the keyboard part 7 to form first and second sound emission paths 32 and 33. Consequently, a tone quality can be improved by forming the speaker-side space K2 as an acoustic space because the keyboard cover 13 partitions the inside of the instrument case 1 into the keyboard-side space K1 and the speaker-side space K2 and closes them from each other, and a tone quality can be changed because the keyboard cover 13 forms the first and second sound emission paths 32 and 33. |
