A hand or protector 100 is adapted to be worn underneath a glove and comprises: a palm portion 101 covering an upper palm region of a users hand and a knuckle portion 102 for covering a knuckle region of a users hand; wherein the palm 101 and knuckle 102 portions are interconnected (103, fig 1a) to form at least two apertures 104, each of which receives at least one finger of a user; the device does not extend past the base of the thumb of a user in a wrist direction and does not extend past the proximal interphalangeal in a finger direction. A second hand protector may be provided which is worn over a first hand protector to form a dual layer hand protector. A method of forming a hand protector is also disclosed; the method preferably requires the use of a single sheet of material. |
