PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator car capable of carrying a long load without enlarging a floor area of the car.SOLUTION: Wall faces of an elevator car are formed of a depth movable wall 2 and a frontage movable wall 3. On the respective movable walls, switch devices 5-8 for detecting movement positions of the respective movable walls, and locking devices 9, 10 for locking and unlocking the respective movable walls, are disposed. The locking device 10 of the depth movable wall 2 unlocks when the switch device 6 detects that the frontage movable wall 3 is positioned on a predetermined position where frontage dimension of the car is reduced, and allows movement of the depth movable wall 2 to a direction where depth dimension of the car is enlarged. Meanwhile, the locking device 9 of the frontage movable wall 3 unlocks when the switch device 7 detects that the depth movable wall 2 is positioned on the predetermined position where the depth dimension of the car is reduced, and allows movement of the frontage movable wall 3 to the direction where the frontage dimension of the car is enlarged. |
