PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type electric water heater capable of suppressing hot water whose temperature is higher than that of appropriate temperature water for hand-washing being discharged at the time of initial water discharge, even when a water temperature in a first bypass pipe 10 has increased.SOLUTION: In a hot water storage type electric water heater 1 which discharges stored hot water, at the time of initial water discharge in which a first on-off valve 7a is opened, and hot water in which hot water discharged from a hot water storage tank 13 and water supplied from the first bypass pipe 10 are mixed at a hot and cold water mixing valve 17 is conveyed in a hot water supply pipe 18, the temperature of the hot water on the downstream side of the hot and cold water mixing valve 17 is lowered, so that the temperature of the hot water conveyed in the hot water supply pipe 18 stays within a predetermined temperature range. |
