The invention relates to a system 12 for powering a hybrid vehicle, comprising an internal combustion engine 20 with a pulley 22 and a belt alternator starter BAS - system 24 with a pulley 26, whereby the pulley 22 of the internal combustion engine 26 and the pulley 26 of the BAS-system 24 are connected in a force-fit way. The pulley 22 of the internal combustion engine 20 and the pulley 26 of the BAS-system 24 are connected by a power train, the power train comprising a cogged belt 10. Preferably the cogged belt 10 is not expandable. An additional force-fit connected accessory component 28 such as an air conditioning compressor, a power steering pump or a water pump may also be provided. The surface structure of the cogged belt 10 may be defined by the form and/or arrangements of cogs and channels. |
