A socket 100 for a work piece has a base 102 on a first side, and a second side opposite the first side. The second side has a perimeter 106 which includes a first gripping structure to grip a first work piece, such as a radiator cap, and a second gripping structure to grip a second work piece, which is different from the first. The first gripping structure may include gaps 108 (a, b) on the perimeter, and the second gripping structure may include indents 112 (a, b). The gripping structures may be at 90 degrees relative to each other. The socket may further include a cavity (116 fig 3) and associated indents (118 fig 3) arranged in a receiving portion (120 fig 3), that in use, allow a drive tool, such as a ratchet wrench, to be used to drive the socket in a rotatable manner. The socket may be composed of a reinforced glass nylon material, and the receiving portion may be composed of a metallic material. The socket may be used to grip automobile fluid reservoir caps, but is not limited in this regard. |
