PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ostomy appliance.SOLUTION: An ostomy appliance comprises an appliance device, an adhesive wafer, a coupling assembly, and a fixation coupling. The appliance device has an inlet opening in communication with a stomal aperture. The adhesive wafer includes a body facing side face for contact with the skin of a user, a non-body-facing side face in the opposite side, and a moldable region adapted to be fittable to the circumference of the stomal aperture. The coupling assembly, which couples the adhesive wafer to the appliance device, is a movability constraining region connector to enable relative displacement between the entire adhesive wafer and the inlet opening of the appliance device, the movability constraining region connector guiding the relative displacement between a movable position where the moldable region of the adhesive wafer is covered by the device on the non-body-facing side face and an access position which provides access from the non-body-facing side face to the moldable region. When in the movable position, the fixation coupling fixes the adhesive wafer and the appliance device. The movability constraining region connector is made of flexible plastic film. The fixation coupling is an adhesive agent. |
