The wristwatch or pocket watch comprises a planispheric astrolabe intended to indicate astral information, the planispheric astrolabe comprising the following components centred around an axis (9), i.e., a hollow stationary disc, called the mater (1), surrounded by an annular portion called the limbus (2) carrying divisions on the periphery thereof, an essentially circular part called the tympanum (3) that is placed stationary in said mater (1) on the upper portion thereof, surrounded by said limbus (2), said tympanum (3) carrying a representation of the azimuthal coordinates of the sky, an essentially circular apertured part called the rete (4), mounted in rotation about the axis (9) of said mater (1), and positioned on the mater (1) on the upper portion thereof, said rete comprising a representation of certain stars and the course of the sun along the Zodiac, indicated by an eccentric circle, an elongate upper part called the ostensor (5), pivotably mounted by the centre thereof in rotation about the axis (9), and an elongate part called the alidade (6), pivotably mounted by the centre thereof in rotation about the axis (9), positioned on the rear portion of the mater (1). These components are arranged in such a way as indicate astral information by the rotation of the alidade (6), aiming at a star, by the rotation of the rete (4) on the tympanum (3) and by the positioning of the ostensor (5) on the rete (4), characterised in that the planispheric astrolabe is incorporated into a casing of the wristwatch or pocket watch and in that said ostensor (5) is arranged to be rotated about the axis (9) by the actuation of a first control member (7) of the casing of the wristwatch or pocket watch, and said rete (4) is arranged to be driven by the actuation of a second control member (8) of the casing of the wristwatch or pocket watch. |
