PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability of a boiler by preventing corrosion of a furnace wall with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A boiler includes: a furnace 11 formed into a hollow shape and installed along a vertical direction; combustion burners 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 each capable of forming a flame swirl flow by injecting pulverized coal-air mixture that is a mixture of pulverized coal and combustion air into the furnace 11; pulverized-coal supply pipes 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30 for supplying the pulverized coal-air mixture to the combustion burners 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, respectively; and guide members 60 provided upstream, in a flow direction of the pulverized coal-air mixture, of injection positions of the combustion burners 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25 at which the pulverized coal-air mixture is injected by a predetermined distance S, for deflecting a flow of the pulverized coal-air mixture toward central portions of pulverized coal-air mixture passages, respectively. |
