摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system and a method of starting a fuel cell in the power generation system, capable of stably starting the fuel cell while suppressing air shortage in a gas turbine upon starting the fuel cell.SOLUTION: A power generation system includes: a gas turbine 11 having a compressor 21, a combustor 22 and a turbine 23; an inlet guide vane 21a disposed on an air intake port of the compressor 21; a first compressed-air supply line 26 for supplying the air compressed by the compressor 21 to the combustor 22; a SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) 13 having an air electrode and a fuel electrode; a second compressed-air supply line 31 for supplying at least a part of the air compressed by the compressor 11 to the air electrode; a control valve 32 disposed on the second compressed-air supply line 31; and a control device 61 for opening a control valve 32, and largely changing an opening of the inlet guide vane 21a from a predetermined reference opening, upon starting the SOFC 13.
