PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which is hardly crushable during rotational operation, and in which the pitch of a braided body hardly shifts during extrusion molding of an outer layer.SOLUTION: In a catheter 1 including an inner layer 20, a braided body 30 provided on the outer periphery of the inner layer which is formed by braiding a first element wire 30a and a second element wire 30b, and an outer layer 50 covering the outer periphery of the braided body 30, the first element wire 30a is twisted spirally. Thereby, roundness of the first element wire 30a can be increased so that the catheter 1 is made hardly crushable during rotational operation. Also, irregularities are formed on the surface of the first element wire 30a so that the first element wire 30a and the second element wire 30b can be easily caught by each other. In consequence, it is possible to prevent the pitch of the braided body 30 from shifting during extrusion molding of the outer layer 50. |
