Embodiments of the present invention provide a data processing method and apparatus, and the data processing method includes: receiving, by user equipment UE, an uplink transmission grant sent by a base station, where the uplink transmission grant is used to schedule the UE to perform uplink data transmission at a specified location of an unlicensed carrier; detecting, by the UE, whether another system or device is using the unlicensed carrier at the specified location; and if the UE detects that another system or device is using the unlicensed carrier at the specified location, transmitting uplink data or stopping uplink data transmission at the specified location of the unlicensed carrier according to an acquired avoidance rule. In embodiments of the data processing method of the present invention, user equipment acquires an avoidance rule, detects whether another system or device exists at a location specified by a base station, and continues transmission or suspends transmission according to the avoidance rule, thereby improving transmission efficiency of multiple users on an unlicensed carrier. |
