PURPOSE:To improve durability and coloring property by arranging a thermal coloring layer in which a specified material is added together with coloring compound or developing compound on a top face of a support body having a film consisting of polypropylene formed on a surface of a union cloth made of natural fiber. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material is made by providing a thermal coloring layer on a support body. As for the support body, a film consisting of polypropylene, polyethylene, polyurethane, nylon or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin is formed on a surface of natural fiber, of chemical fiber, or of union cloth of these fibers and of unwoven cloth. On the other hand, into the thermal coloring layer, a colorless or light color coloring compound, a developing compound for coloring it at heating, an amorphous silica fine particle, a carboxyl group denatured vinyl alcohol and a glyoxal are added. As for the amorphous silica fine particle, an average particle diameter of secondary particle is set to 10mum or less, a BET ratio surface area is set to 10-150g/m<2>, and a bulk specific gravity is set to 50-300g/l. |
