The device has connection-contact elements projecting through openings in a meter supporting plate and electrically connected with connection conductor pieces (6, 7) that are arranged on a base assembly, where the base assembly is made from plastic. The base assembly has a base plate (1) and side walls (2, 3) projecting from the base plate. The base assembly is provided for selective accommodation of the conductor pieces connected with connection cables and clamp connection elements (5), where the conductor pieces are formed as a single-piece from punched sheet metal part.
