PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle brake system capable of maintaining stable operability even if abnormality occurs.SOLUTION: A vehicle brake system A comprises: a master cylinder 10; a slave cylinder 30 generating a brake fluid pressure by moving pistons 35a and 35b as well as a ball screw shaft 33b; always-open master cut valves 50a and 50b cutting off/communicating the slave cylinder 30 from/with the master cylinder 10; a first determination unit determining whether an electric motor 31 is controllable; and a controller controlling the electric motor 31 to be driven to move the ball screw shaft 33b backward if the first determination unit determines that the electric motor 31 is controllable during abnormality. |
