PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism member for a solar battery and a solar battery module, capable of improving power generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A prism member 20 for a solar battery includes a first surface 21a and a second surface 21b which are not parallel to a reflection surface 13a of a module body 10, on the side opposite to the solar battery module body 10 side. An area ratio between a surface area of the first surface 21a and a surface area of the second surface 21b is 2:1 to 10:1. The prism member 20 for the solar battery satisfies the relationship of an expression: (a)2&thetas;+sin(sin(&thetas;-&thetas;)/n)>sin(1/n), where, n is refractive index of the prism member 20, &thetas;is inclination angle of the first surface 21a relative to the reflection surface 13a, and &thetas;is an angle formed between perpendicular Pof the reflection surface 13a and sunlight Lincident on the first surface 21. |
