PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient method for manufacturing a food product with a high content of ornithine.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an ornithine-containing food product includes cultivating food basidiomycete on a bacterium bed medium blended with dried barley shochu lees, collecting the carpophore or the bacterium bed including produced free arginine, and seeding lactic acid bacteria for cultivation.
