Thermoresponsive multilayer substrate for biological cells

Substrate (10) comprises a substrate body having a support surface, one or more intermediate layers (1) deposited on the support surface, and a layer (M) comprising microgel particles (3) including at least a thermoresponsive polymer, fixed on the uppermost intermediate layer. Independent claims are included for: (1) producing the substrate, comprising providing a substrate body having a support surface, applying one or more intermediate layers on the support surface, preparing a dispersion of microgel particles, containing thermoresponsive polymer, applying the dispersion on the uppermost intermediate layer, and fixing the microgel particles on the intermediate layer; and (2) a method for culturing biological cells on a substrate comprising applying biological cells on the substrate, and adjusting the culture conditions, so that the biological cell undergoes growth, differentiation and/or migration.
