发明名称 Time code display
摘要 Time code display apparatus (and method of displaying the time code) comprising: a plurality of reflectors 502, configured to reflect an incident signal (907, 908 fig 9), each reflector switchable between a first and second state; and a controller 108 configured both receive time code information and also control the position of the reflectors using the received time code information. In its first state, each reflector (502) has a first orientation such that an incident signal (907, 908) is reflected in a first direction (502 solid-line fig 9). In its second state, each reflector (502) has a second orientation such that an incident signal (907, 908) is reflected in a second alternative direction (dotted-line, fig 9). Each reflector may reflect EM signals over multiple ranges of the electromagnetic spectrum including the infrared and visible spectra, and may be micro-mechanical reflectors, or micro-shutters. The first and second state may correspond to respective binary values under the control of the controller acting on the acquired time code information in the form of a Coordinated Universal Time signal (CUT) obtained via a Global Position System GPS satellite signal. The time code display apparatus may further include a plurality of emitters 505 (such as optical or visible light emitting diodes LEDs), each emitter corresponding to a binary state (first state-light on/second state-light off). A buffer 500 drives a relay 502 to determine the binary position of the reflectors, and also drives the LED light sources. The time code display may display the time code via a binary coded decimal BCD system. Embodiments also relate to an imaging apparatus incorporating the time code display 110 and an imaging module (104 fig 1). The imaging module may comprise either or both an infrared signal source and a visible light source (900, 902 fig 9), as well as an infrared radiation sensor (or camera) and a visible light sensor (camera) (906, 908 fig 9). An image processor may process the sensor information to generate a time stamp which may be inserted into the image information or may be used to determine the latency associated with the sensing (camera) system.
