[Class 140.] For the manufacture of a covering material similar to linoleum, paper or fabric strip is treated in successive baths of linseed oil and linseed oil colour, each containing a drier, the material being partly dried after each treatment ; it is then coarsely comminuted, further dried, then finely ground, and finally pressed while hot on to a suitable foundation. The bath of linseed oil colour may contain a filler such as infusorial silica, litharge, comminuted wood, straw, cereals, or leguminous plants, chalk, resin, leather scrap, or rags.</p> |
