PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission which can appropriately protect a hollow rotating shaft having an oil passage along a shaft direction and a supply pipe to supply hydraulic oil to the oil passage even in the event of misalignment between shaft centers of the rotating shaft and the supply pipe and to provide an abnormality detection device for the automatic transmission which can accurately determine abnormality thereof with a simple configuration without causing increases in weight and cost.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission comprises a hydraulic oil supply pipe 70 to supply hydraulic oil to a hollow rotating shaft 16 which has an oil passage 16a extended in a shaft direction. The hydraulic oil supply pipe 70 is sealed when a shaft center thereof is aligned with the same of the rotating shaft 16. The hydraulic oil supply pipe 70 also has a leak oil hole 74a which allows the hydraulic oil to leak into a transmission case 52 when the shaft center thereof is not aligned with the same of the rotating shaft 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
