An image pickup unit 1 includes: an objective lens unit 2 including a plurality of optical members 11 to 18 and 22 to 24 configured to guide light and a plurality of lens frames 11 and 21; an image pickup device unit 3 including an image pickup device 41 configured to receive the light and an image pickup device holding frame 45 configured to hold at least one optical lens 44; a first frame fixing portion 4 configured to apply a first adhesive to respective first fitting surfaces of the lens frames 11 and 21 provided on the objective lens unit 2 to bond and fix the first fitting surfaces; and a second frame fixing portion 5 configured to apply a second adhesive with a glass transition temperature lower than the first adhesive to second fitting surfaces that are fitting surfaces of the second lens frame 21 and the image pickup device holding frame 45 and that have fitting areas greater than fitting areas of the first fitting surfaces to bond and fix the second fitting surfaces. |
