A die unit fastened to an upper part of a stamping tool has a pressure plate, a stamping die, and a die-holding plate. In order to reduce the production cost, the pressure plate is arranged between the stamping die and the die-holding plate, wherein the pressure plate acts on a shoulder of the stamping die during a stamping stroke.

1. A die unit for fastening to an upper part of a stamping tool, the die unit comprising:
a pressure plate; a stamping die having a shoulder; and a die-holding plate; wherein the pressure plate is arranged between the stamping die and the die-holding plate; and wherein, during a stamping stroke, said pressure plate acts upon the shoulder of the stamping die; and wherein there is provided on the shoulder of the stamping die a holding shoe which projects through a slot in the pressure plate and which is fastened in the die-holding plate.
